Everyone should know tinnitus cannot be cured medically Therapies are available that can ease tinnitus, but not cure it completely. For this reason, many tinnitus sufferers are now seeking out nontraditional therapies outside of the medical and pharmaceutical realm to deal with their disorder.

If, after seeing a specialist and having tests done using special hearing equipment, they are unable to hear the sounds you’re hearing, then you have subjective tinnitus, which is the predominant form of the affliction.

Often, the main conditions that cause tinnitus are inner ear problems, head trauma, whiplash, auditory nerve damage, otosclerosis, Miniere’s disease, blocked eustachian tubes, and the overuse of some drugs such as aspirin.

The specialist you see will usually use one or more of these treatments: drug therapy, complementary treatments, biofeedback, tinnitus maskers, and, in extreme cases, surgery.

You may find tinnitus relief after treatment, depending on the severity of your tinnitus. However, like many who suffer from tinnitus, the relief may only be temporary. Statistics show that approximately 93% of tinnitus sufferers never receive any relief. A cure has not been found even though there are several different medical research programs looking for one which can be clinically proven.

And what are your options now? It may be a good idea for you to follow the example of numerous others worldwide and research proven alternative therapies. In some other words the techniques, and the exercise etc. It can be done on your own at your home if you are fond of.
