For anyone looking for a clean and simple way to add space and convenience in the bedroom, it makes great sense to check out a platform storage bed. It has several advantages a traditional bed. They look pretty cool and are great if you live in a tiny apartment or just have a small bedroom to work with.

There’s never enough storage space at home, even for us with a 2000 sq ft garage. It seems like whatever storage you do have either isn’t big enough or is in the wrong spot. I don’t want to store food in the bedroom, so I must need a bigger pantry. I don’t want my linens in the kitchen, need more storage in the bedroom or hallway.

Here’s a possible solution for bedroom storage; get a platform storage bed. Most folks are familiar with the traditional bed that consists of a mattress, a box spring or foundation, headboard, footboard and side rails. Simple metal bed frames are also popular and inexpensive. These beds are not a new idea. They’ve been around forever and used by those who are used to living in tight quarters.

The Japanese have wrestled with a lack of physical space and natural resources. Out of cultural necessity, they have learned to economize and maximize space in the home and created the japanese platform bed.

Many bed retailers offer a platform bed frame that are easy to assemble and relatively inexpensive. In order to provide enough under the bed storage space, the bottom of the bed frame needs to be raised.

Many styles of platform storage bed frames solve this problem in a fairly simple and straightforward way. The solution is to eliminate the need for a foundation or box spring. The principle of using springs to support a mattress goes back to the days before the innerspring mattress. Whether your storage needs include drawers or just a little extra space to store items under the bed, a platform storage bed could be solution.

Residential roofing sounds like a boring topic. Except for roofing contractors or other residential roofing specialists, who would want to talk about residential roofing? How about home owners? The roof is one of the most important aspects of a home. So it’s essential for homeowners to be up to date on the subject of residential roofing at least as far as it pertains to their own residence.

One of the most important points to consider when discussing residential roofing is the area where the residence is located. Roofing needs vary by region and include such considerations as need to withstand tree limbs, wind resistance, fire resistance, ability to withstand the weight of snow or to allow snow to slide off, and even color when it comes to a good looking roof for the area. Residential roofing needs are quite different in a northern, cold and snowy region than they would be in a hot and dry region. For those who purchase homes it’s important to understand the features and maintenance needs of the roof. For those who build homes, particularly if they serve as their own general contractor, choosing the right roof for the region is a key.

Since it’s more common for a homeowner to purchase a home complete with a pre-installed residential roofing system, let’s examine some of the maintenance issues that are important to ensuring the best performance and longest life from the roofing system. First amongst these issues is timing. Proper maintenance should begin the second the roofing system is complete. Such maintenance will save money in the long run. Immediate maintenance includes inspecting the work and checking the contractor’s license, insurance, and whether all aspects of the roofing system were installed to manufacturer’s specifications or to local government guidelines.

After six months to a year the roof should be inspected for debris such as sticks, leaves, and even garbage such as aluminum cans, and those debris removed. This should continue at least once a year. Also make sure the gutters are cleaned at least once a year to ensure proper drainage. If the residential roof can’t drain, it will develop leaks. Leaks cause a great deal of damage, including the possibility of mold that can completely destroy a home.

Pipe boot, the material at the bottom of vent and other pipes on the roof, often require replacing after only a few years. Many states require pipe jacks made out of lead, and this will last longer than the roof. But some states, including Oklahoma, don’t require lead pipe jacks.

Many roofers convince home owners that the entire roof needs replacing even when there’s only a tiny leak. That’s nonsense. And the best way to avoid the scam is to have the roof inspected twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. An easy way to remember to have the residential roofing inspected is to do it when the clocks spring forward and fall back.

Machines tend to break down. That’s just how they are. They tear, waste, use, overheat, fail, etc. Microsoft’s second entry in the video game console industry, the Xbox 360, is no exception. And it’s also known for its hardware failures, the most common being the Xbox 360 three flashing red lights, also known as “the red ring of death.”

The primary cause of Xbox 360 failure is related to a design flaw in the launch version of the console which uses 90nm technology. Essentially, the Xbox has an inadequate cooling system which results in damage to the components. This damage leads to glitches and eventually the so called “red ring of death”. Don’t worry: Your Xbox Live Account and your Xbox 360 achievements are not broken. Luckily, later version with 65nm technology are not affected.

The Microsoft Xbox 360 console has several ways that tell technicians what the problem probably is. One is through the four green lights that are around the power button. When they change to red and flash, they are trying to tell you something. If there’s only 1 flashing red light, then your Xbox 360 is pretty much dead. If you see 2 red lights, it means your Xbox 360 overheated and you should turn it off for a while to let it cool.

If this happens often, you might want to get a fan accessory to help it ventilate. If there are on your Xbox 360 3 flashing red lights, it means that something is wrong with the hardware, but don’t worry. It can be fixed. Finally, 4 flashing red lights just mean that you didn’t connect your cables properly. The 4 lights won’t flash if you connected the Xbox 360 wifi in a wrong way.

And one can identify Red Ring of Death (RROD) problem with their Xbox if they find any of following problem with their console:

* Disc Error problems
* Xbox freezing problem
* Abnormal sound from your Xbox
* Unable to play your Xbox

Once your Xbox breaks down you are left with very few options. Microsoft states that the average wait time for a repair is 4-6 weeks and that the cost of the repair would be $140. That’s in addition to shipping and handling charges! Another option will have you up and running again in less than an hour. This involves purchasing a do-it-yourself repair guide online. The top repair guides are very impressive and cost less than $30. These repair guides will focus on the how to fix your red ring problem and how to make sure it does not happen again.

The easiest way to do an Xbox 360 red ring fix is to prevent the problem from happening at all. If you bought your Xbox 360 within a few months after launch day, do yourself a favor and buy the fan. Also, never, ever place your Xbox (or any other electronic device) next to a heat source. Some people tend to cram all their devices together, TV, DVD player, CD player, VCR, Xbox 360, Playstation, Nintendo Gamecube, etc., which causes them to heat each other. Always leave some space between your Xbox and everything else. This will not only keep it from receiving heat from other devices, but it will also keep the ventilation holes open and with plenty of space to operate.

It’s also a good idea to clean the back of your Xbox 360 from time to time. Just brush off with a dry cloth all the dust and dirt that accumulates in the back of it. It will not only prevent the red light problem, but it will lengthen the life of your Xbox 360.
