For some time now Portugal has been the understated chique of Vacation Holiday Accommodation in the Algarve ! and although many holiday visitors have heard of the airport Faro, its not that well known of where the airport actually is located !

The country of Portugal has a rich history and stretches in length almost all the way down the west side of Spain. Not directly classified as being on the Mediteranean the Southern end of Portugal known as The Algarve does enjoy the warm sunshine renowned for the southern parts of Europe and the Mediteranean.

As such, the whole area is one vast devlopment of luxury apartment complexes, gated villa resorts and lovely townhouses that many Europeans have been quietly buying as holiday homes for the past 20 years.   Compared to the Spannish Mediteranean resorts, Portugal remains to its routes in style and countryside besides some notorious developments such as Villamoura which cater to the jet set lifestyle of the rich and famous.

The private pools usually found within the holiday resorts and private villa locations tend to be on the larger side as compared to Spain, and the number of top quality Golf Courses squeezed along the Algarve certainly gives Spain a run for its money too !  With the ocean providing a better  atmospheric condition throughout the year than Spain, the golfing tends to be enjoyed around the year to its full as the Algarve tends to have less rainfall during the year compared to places like Marbella Spain.

If its sailing that you are after… beware, firstly the coastal waters are not calm like the Mediteranean. . . as such, navigating the ocean is a totally different excercise and therefor carries a different set of requirements for renting sail boats or charters !

If you plan on taking a sailing course in Portugal . . then you will need to be able to speak Portugese as well as write it, as the ecxamination papers are in Portugese and the examiners refuse to speak any other language.

Without a Portugese Sailing Licence nobody will let you charter / hire a boat either !  so my advice is for all those sailors looking to try out the great sailing off the coast of the Algarve – better to go find a beautiful Apartment Rental in Tenerife or go USA and enjoy the oceans over there instead !

Hi

to all the men/women who fish or anglers out there which ever you prefer to be called. I would just like you to know about an interesting site a good friend of mine let me know about .We are both keen fishermen so here it is TFG fishing gear.I fish for essox mainly and he tends to fish for any type of carp.Obviously I can not go to some concrete puddle and pull out 15 pounders but he likes too but I deffinately wont hold that against him.I like to sit behind my bite alarms and rod pods and wait for a predator to turn up.

Getting back on track I could had to watch Matt Hayes pike video first as you would imagine and thought to myself how it was a really good start for a beginner into how to go about going after pike or I say essox and what a specimen he caught too. Matt also explains how to take the hooks from this beast of a pike without causing any injury to the pike or to  yourself.

Being considerate I guessed just out of common courtesy to my friend I would have a laugh and have a at the fish they call by the name of carp.I have never really took much notice of it as carp do not swim in any of the rivers near me.Well guess what I may just have found the fish I will be after during the warmer months if you want to see why watch the Matt Hayes Fishing for Carp Video on the same site

Anyway enough of fishing my eldest son does Taekwondo and his instructor has a website so if anyone out there is interested in learning a martial art well this might be the one for you Taekwondo. He is a black belt and has won medals in the UK and Switzerland so the training must be pretty good He is learning Pal Jung Do Poomsae

There is a lot to consider before purchasing jewelry – particularly your girlfriend’s diamond engagement ring sets. The tradition of presenting your beloved with a diamond engagement ring when proposing marriage began centuries ago – 1477 to be precise – when Archduke Maximilian of Austria gave a diamond band to Mary of Burgundy – and in most cases, any woman you intend to propose to is entitled to expect a ring to accompany that proposal!

To start with, work out how much ring your money runs to. Many people stick to the ‘two months’ salary’ rule. This states that the ring will set you back the equivalent of two months of your current salary. When you consider that you also have other things to pay for, saving up this amount of money could take you quite a long time. You should want to think about financing. Simply visit whichever jeweler you choose and tell them that you are planning to purchase an engagement ring, and that financing will be required. Do not delay – get the credit check over and done with, find out what the payments are going to be, and how much of a payment in advance is required.

Next, have your girlfriend’s best friend or your sister or mother take your girlfriend shopping, and make sure that they look at the engagement rings to get an idea of what she might like. Make certain that the jewelers you buy the ring from will let you return the ring, if that is necessary, or allow your girlfriend to change it for another ring if she isn’t satisfied with it!

Well, it’s an unfortunate fact that buying an engagement ring can be really expensive, and it can be a real problem to a young person looking to get started on life’s journey. Luckily, there is a much cheaper alternative to natural diamonds – cubic zirconia. In the current economic and financial climate, a cubic zirconia engagement ring could be a god send.

Perhaps your fiancee will like a piece of this celebrity inspired jewelry which does not come with a massive price tag.

Freeware Flac Converter

So you’ve got a .flac file or five. What’s .flac, then? Well, it’s the Free Lossless Audio Codec. As the name would suggest, this codec is a digital music format that is as good (quality-wise) as an audio CD. Lossy codecs like MP3 may offer better compression, but .flac format doesn’t sacrifice sound quality and can still nearly halve the file size. In the past this codec was typically used for backing up CDs. Due to faster networks and bigger hard drives this format is now also used for normal listening and streaming music.

Despite the advantages of the FLAC format, there are some situations where you’d want to convert it to another audio codec. For example, on portable players hard drives aren’t virtually unlimited yet, and MP3 files take up way several times less space than FLAC. Another possibility is that while FLAC is well supported by most hardware and software players, once in a while you will need to convert Flac to MP3. The MP3 codec is supported pretty much universally.

When you need to convert FLAC files to .mp3 you will need a .flac to MP3 converter. The main factors to look for in a FLAC converter :

* How easy it is to use. At the minimum, there should be a visual interface, and preferably drag & drop functionality. Comprehensible codec options are also certainly nice, because audio conversion can end up as deep magic if if you must set everything up manually.

* Efficiency. This obviously will depend on the codec in question and software configuration, but conversion speed can be quite significant if you have to convert a big .flac collection to .mp3.

* Cost. In most cases you don’t have to spend money on anything. There are great free FLAC file converter applications you can peruse.

As a final note I suggest to use a freeware converter to convert FLAC audio. Some converters are more comfortable while other converters support a huge list of file codecs. The choice is yours.
